If you are experiencing cold, flu or other COVID-like symptoms or are a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you should get tested immediately.
Rapid Antigen Tests (COVID-19 self-tests) will be available from Nextra Dianella for dispatch or collection in-store from the 8th of February.
What are RAT tests?
RAT tests involve taking either a saliva sample or a nasal swab that is placed into a chemical solution.
The result usually takes between 10 to 30 minutes.
PLEASE ALWAYS READ THE LABEL. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR USE. IF SYMPTOMS PERSIST, TALK TO YOUR HEALTH PROFESSIONAL.
Warnings
Negative test results do not rule out COVID-19 infection. Do not re-use a test or use a test that has passed the expiry date printed on the sachet. Avoid eating, drinking or smoking before or during the test. Do not collect the nasal swab sample if you have a nosebleed. Do not use the test if the pouch is damaged or not at room temperature. Wear gloves or wash your hands thoroughly before and after use. If the extraction buffer comes into contact with your skin or eyes, immediately rinse it off with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary. Do not freeze test kits. Once results have been recorded, properly dispose of the tests, samples, and any contaminated materials.
If you test positive
If you test positive on a RAT test, you are officially a case and must immediately isolate and report your result to the Government of Western Australia’s Department of Health.
